洛阳地脉花最宜，牡丹尤为天下奇”

洛阳国家牡丹园又名中国洛阳国家牡丹基因库，位于洛阳市邙山中沟西。占地面积700亩，其中牡丹观赏园分南园和北园，面积500亩，育苗200亩，搜集国内牡丹园艺品种600余个，野生种6个，培育新品种72个，数量50余万株，引进国外园艺品种100余个，数量5万株。年繁殖九大色系，品种齐全，花大色艳的优质商品牡丹30万株。目前，已成为野生牡丹引种驯化，新品种培育和商品牡丹繁殖的国内最大生产基地。
